Mel Tucker

Clinical Lead

Mel is an accredited psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a member of the Association of Family Therapists. She has completed more than 1,800 face-to-face and telephone counselling hours, working with individuals, couples, and people in groups.

Mel aims to look holistically at an individual’s wellbeing and to focus on a better way of living. A client’s counselling session could look at a wide variety of topics, such as bereavement and grief issues, feelings of anxiousness and low mood, trauma, possible relapse prevention and relationship issues.

As Clinical Lead, Mel’s duties include managing risk; providing induction and ongoing training to staff; quality assurance of the clinical aspects of our work; and providing supervisory care across the contact centre. Following assessments, Mel also offers telephone counselling and an online cognitive behavioural therapy programme to clients.

She says: “I love working with the people at Connect Assist, as we believe passionately in providing the best possible service to our clients.”

Outside work, she loves spending time with her family.
